Lophocereus schotti
Also known as Totem Pole Cactus. These are virtually stemless, candelabra shaped cacti native to Southern Arizona and down to Baja California that can grow to a massive size. They will grow many vertical spiny arms, 3”-4” in diameter that have 5-9 ribs. As they mature, the areoles at the top ends of their arms will form dense, brush-like bristles that are a distinctive brownish-grey color. They will accept watering during growing seasons while they are young. They will mature to become extremely drought tolerant. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PLANT VARIATIONS-
Please note that no two plants are exactly the same, that’s what makes them so unique! There may be some slight variations in height, width, amount of leaves, etc. We do our best to ensure your plants are consistent and keep our listings updated. As these are live plants, they change frequently.
SPECIAL REQUESTS-
We have the ability to procure hundreds of varieties of plants from 2 inches to 5 gallons. If you do not see what you are looking for, please send us a message and we will see if we can help!
BARE ROOT NOTIFICATION-
Most cactus and agaves are available bare root, this can simplify shipping and dramatically decrease the package weight.
Almost all plants over 1 gallon in size will be shipped bare root.
SHIPPING DETAILS-
Please note, shipments to Hawaii and Alaska have greater costs for shipping. We will help you find the best freight quotes we can. Plants shipped to Hawaii cannot include soil.
We cannot guarantee plants, but luckily most of them do just fine if kept in moderate temperatures. When shipping to extremely cold regions, we can supply a heat pack upon request or an ice pack when shipping from Arizona in the hot summers.
