Aloe barbadensis Orange
This is the Aloe that defines all others. Aloe barbadensis ultimately forms a clump of stemless rosettes of fleshy, grey-green leaves. Popular because they are easy to grow, require little maintenance and are very drought tolerant. The variable colors bloom on attractive racemes of up to 3’ tall and have tubular flowers that are about 1” long. One has yellow flowers (the true Medicinal Aloe) the other has light orange flowers.
